The unit A.L.JACOB & SONS , Engineering Contractors, is a Registered Partnership Concern, established in the year 1973. The founder of this firm was late Sri. A.L. Jacob, a veteran leader of Congress Party, represented as M.L.A. about 25 years continuously in Ernakulam Constituency and also served as Minister for Agriculture, Kerala State, 2 terms. The Partners of the unit are his sons who are technically qualified and business entrepreneurs in Cochin. The unit is a well established one having goodwill in its own name, undertaking all types of steel fabrication works on total supply basis as well as labour contract basis.
The unit is also undertaking machinery works like ‘Pan Filters’ for the vaccum drying of mineral sand, widely used in Mineral sand (beach sand) separation plants like Indian Rare Earths Ltd., V.V. Mineral etc. The unit is also manufacturing ‘Twin Screw Press’ for the extraction of raw palm oil from crushed palm fruits and stainless steel single Screw Presses for the extraction of Coconut Milk, Ginger Oil and other spices oleoresin. Besides all types of structural steel works are undertaken.
